In Wyoming, icy, remote roads and big snowfalls are a way of life in Sundance, Casper, Moose, Alta, and most of the state. Every area and snowfall requires a road department plan to minimize the buildup of snow and ice BEFORE it happens, enhance the effectiveness of salt or sand treatments, or prevent bridges from icing up. Desert Mountain Corporation has liquid or granular solutions to meet the needs of the environment. Our laboratory tested and field-proven treatments for Wyoming anti-icing and deicing solutions include:
Ice Slicer is an environmentally friendly, low-corrosive granular ice melt and de-icing product used to break the bond of snow and ice from Wyoming roadways, walkways, driveways, and parking lots. The unique natural blend of Ice Slicer’s chlorides is mined in Utah. It melts snow and ice effectively to 0° F, resulting in safer roads at lower temperatures. Ice Slicer’s road deicer has a distinctive natural dark red color that is free of dyes and full of 60+ natural minerals. Ice Slicer’s distinctive red coloring clearly marks the road, letting the public know a road has been treated. Available for purchase in 50 lb. bags, 1-ton super sacks, and in bulk truckload quantities.
Don’t settle for plain road salt! Ice Slicer is a fast-acting deicing compound, ideal for general highway and street deicing. In the first 30 minutes after application, Ice Slicer effectively melts more snow and ice than white road salt. It is easier on equipment and infrastructure since it is at least 20% less corrosive than white salt. As a natural blend, Ice Slicer will not stain concrete or asphalt or require clean up after the snow melts.

SOS Liquid Stockpile Treatment
By treating large or small aggregate, sand, or salt stockpiles with SOS, winter road departments will increase the performance of salt or gravel applications. Saving money for the road department in total winter road treatment costs. An application of SOS reduces leeching and requires a smaller amount of sand or salt to be spread due to less bounce and scatter.
AMP Deicing Liquid
AMP is a salt brine additive, mixed in with the brine to intensify the effect of the mixture. With its built-in corrosion inhibitor, it can be mixed in to meet PNX standards with outstanding results. Lab and road tests have seen strong results with temperatures as low as 10°F.
MeltDown is a liquid deicer. Its melting capabilities are a 12°F improvement in freeze point over any other liquid deicer. Making it easier for Wyoming road departments to battle the snow and ice buildup with an enhanced version of mag brine that works at lower temperatures.
Desert Mountain Corporation offers a complete line of ice melting products and ice control products. They are available in both granular and liquid forms for Wyoming anti-icing and deicing of rural, urban, and often dangerous roads. Every area is different, with its own challenges. Our expert team will guide you in determining the best products and application rates for anti-icing and de-icing solutions.
