The longevity of our products depends on many factors like wind, rain or snow, traffic, site preparation, and application methods. A general rule of thumb is 3-6 months for our magnesium chloride based products, 6-12 months for our Custom Blends and 12-24 months for our co-polymer solutions. The above are not guarantees of longevity but are merely guidelines for averages seen in our industry.
Dust control, dust suppression, dust palliative, fugitive dust – although it is known by many names, the process ensures the health of employees and the public from excessive particulate matter (PM) the super fine particles in aggregate and native soils. Desert Mountain uses products that bind fine particulate matter together with the larger pieces of aggregate preventing excess fines from migrating via wind and traffic.
Road Stabilization is the process of blading, compacting, and blending aggregate, water, and eco-friendly solutions to help build a stronger, longer lasting dirt road. It will reduce the wear and tear on the surface of a road and contributes to its strength and longevity. An added benefit of gravel road stabilization is dust control. A stabilized road will be healthier for those around it as less fugitive dust will be produced from the traffic and wind.
Soil Stabilization is used to improve the engineering properties of soil making it stronger, more secure, and stable. It is used for roads, building sites, parking lots, slopes, runways, oil field pads and much more.
Erosion control is used to make sure that soil and water stay on the property. We recommend our products that are applied topically or as mix-ins to lock the soil in place. Desert Mountain treats construction sites, mine tailings piles, overburden piles, empty lots, stockpiles, weather events or natural disaster recovery.
Desert Mountain Corporation offers a complete line of both granular and liquid deicing and anti-icing products to help keep roads safe.
